SAP terminates linux s390 support
Hi, SAP has contributed the s390 port[1][2] to OpenJDK 9 and maintained it through JDK 11 up to JDK 17. It is ready to be released with JDK 17. After release of jdk 17 and 11.0.12 SAP will end its active support of this platform. We will no more maintain, build and test OpenJDK 11u, 17u or jdk and resign from the OpenJDK s390x Port Project. IBM will step in and continue to support the project. Best regards, Goetz. [1] https://wiki.openjdk.java.net/display/s390xPort [2] http://openjdk.java.net/projects/s390x-port/
I will be happy to resign as the Project Lead of the s390x-port Project once IBM has taken over and proposed a new Project Lead. Thank you and best regards, Volker On Thu, Jul 8, 2021 at 5:07 PM Lindenmaier, Goetz <goetz.lindenmaier@sap.com> wrote:
