When  code like that or X11  headers  etc etc are used in the JDK we 
have to have a legal review.
If they say yes, we can use it , if they say no, we can't. BSD and X11 
style licenses are generally OK,
but in each case it requires a specific legal review.  Basically the SCA 
short circuits all that  (I think) ,
basically because its the author saying I wrote this code so I have 
rights to donate it ..
