Now that we have resolved
JDK-8230672 : Specification for java.awt.FontMetrics.getMaxAdvance() is 
too prescriptive.
with an approved CSR, the assertion being tested by 
java/awt/FontMetrics/MaxAdvanceIsMax.java is not enforceable.

The test should just be retired.
