We do not have any specific roadmap as such.
There are a number of tasks which can be addressed.
1) Stabilizing the template interpreter
As the moment the template interpreter is not capable of building itself. It would be nice to get to at least that stage so that we can move away from building with zero.
2) Back port to JDK 8
As you have said. The JDK 8 tree is just a copy of the JDK 8 Update Master. The template interpreter needs backporting.
3) Implement C1
4) Implement C2
The progress of any of these tasks depends on community involvement. If there is no involvement, then these tasks will not progress.
For my part the only one of these tasks I am looking at, at the moment is task 1).
