Hi Andrew,

This patch looks fine and I think it is the preferable solution as it is consistent with JDK8/JDK9.

Perhaps you could add in the missing assert c1_Runtime_aarch64.cpp.

Would it be worthwhile allocating the byte_map_base in a global register like rheapbase? I don't think there is undue register pressure. I am happy to look at this and do some benchmarking.
