The minutes of the GB's TCK discussion were just posted [1].  The GB
will therefore vote on the creation of the proposed Conformance Group
in two weeks.

Subject: Project proposal: JDK 7

I hereby propose the creation of a new Project, JDK 7, whose primary
goal will be to produce an open-source implementation of the next major
revision of the Java SE Platform.

This project will host the JDK 7 Mercurial repositories, which were made
available yesterday.  Over time, as more of the JDK development process
moves out into the open, additional information such as integration and
build schedules, milestone definitions and dates, and development tasks
and status will be made available.  Proposals for specific features will
also be welcome.

I will serve as the initial Moderator of this Project.

Subject: Project Proposal: JDK 6

I, being of sound mind and body, hereby propose the creation of a new 
project, JDK 6, to produce an open source and compatible implementation 
of the Java SE 6 specification.

The project will host future Mercurial repositories for this effort and 
I will be the initial moderator.  The code will be a derivative of the 
already open sourced JDK 7 repositories.
