Wow, if the code is still arround it would be of course the best solution.
I am curious how all the rendering routines were implemented.

For now I am trying to push some changes into GTK to make their theme
API more friendly for non-gtk consumers (like Java, FireFox).
It would also solve the problem, however it would take time for the
new GTK to spread arround and themes to be adopted.
