Hi, Simon.
I don't remember such issues, please file a bug. Also please provide steps to reproduce. If it will be possible I suggest to check some additional options:
-Dsun.java2d.xrender=true
-Dsun.java2d.xrender=false
-Dsun.java2d.opengl=true
-Dsun.java2d.opengl=false
