One of the new core classes which should be present now is
java.dyn.MethodHandle

Try a simple import of that class - I think it ends up residing in rt.jar

I'll update from repo and reapply the patches and try to confirm.

Out of interest, what changed in the repo to fix the problems people were
seeing earlier?
