Thanks! I am excited to hear about this. While I don't have much free
time to create and push webrevs, I can try to keep up with questions
about the bsd specific changes.

One thing to note was that the bsd-port source code was carefully
imported to avoid any changes that Sun (now Oracle) didn't have rights
to. Mainly that meant skipping JRL licensed submissions when we imported
the code. Greg and I have been careful only accept changes from people
who have have signed the Sun/Oracle Contributor Agreement since then.

Not really. They were imported to change Linux to BSD with sed
's/linux/bsd/g; s/Linux/Bsd/g; s/LINUX/BSD/g' for clarity.
