question about diffs with the main port

Hi,

I have not looked recently, but do we have many in the BSD port tree that
would be generally applicable (portability fixes, bug fixes, cleanups) that
we have not already sent to the main tree? Perhaps we should sync those
first to reduce the porting effort for future versions? If we've already
done this ignore me :-)

Also what's the status for -9?
