State of the build on Windows?

I'm just an interested party; since I haven't successfully done a build on 
Windows, I don't yet feel confident in my ability to help other people do 
it.  I got the t2k error running "make sanity" (as described in the 
README); once I saw that, I didn't try to go on and build the JDK.

For now, we know that the currently available binary plug ISN'T suitable 
for building; Kelly and others at Sun have confirmed this.

IMO, I suggest we just hold off for now, and wait until we get some 
build/plugs that someone at Sun says will build successfully.
