It just dawned on me (some of) what you are on about.
Until I started reading later emails I had no idea we were putting out
.jars
of the whole JRE as binary plugs rather than pointing to the regular
executables.
The idea we'd has for months as far as I know is that it would be just
the regular
binary snapshots, hence no extra download bundle.
I guess its the legal mumbo jumbo again but in that case it was truly
wrong to
put out the jars for windows. They should simply be withdrawn as they just
make it look like it'll work when it won't. Or put out the closed.jar files
containing 'just' the plugs for all platforms but that most likely is
the legal
mumbo jumbo problem.,
