Heads Up: JDK 7 Linux platforms moving to Fedora 9

CentOS would be good in that case. It is a binary compatible, as it is
built from the same sources, RH. Ubuntu is based on Debian is it not?
But definitely with RHx or CentOSx you'll get a longer release cycle of
the OS itself.
