Those settings work for my laptop, too. HotSpot (alone) builds in
under 30 minutes. I run JVM builds on my MacBook Pro 2.2Ghz, 4Gb,
HOTSPOT_BUILD_JOBS=3. Putting the build directory in /tmp (RAM disk)
makes a huge difference. The sources are reached over NFS (guest/host
connection). The hotspot build only takes about 20 minutes. I'm
looking forward to BSD-based builds, but for now am using Solaris/
VMWare.
