Looks like you set  IMPORT_BINARY_PLUGS=true as stated in the 
workaround, so the build tried to reach for the plugs in the default 
location.

You also need to set ALT_BINARY_PLUGS_PATH to point to the plugs you 
want to use.

Sorry about that - I will update the Workaround on the bug report.
