Make - No rule to make target

Hi

I am trying to build OpenJDK 8 64 bit in Windows 2008 server. I am using 
Cygwin 64 bit and Visual studio 2010 professional. I am able to 
successfully configure but when i run make, i am getting the following 
error.

make: *** No rule to make target `-', needed by 
`/cygdrive/c/work/openjdk/openjdk8/build/windows-x86_64-normal-server-release/spec.gmk'. 
Stop.

I tried using make from Cygwin and also i downloaded make 3.8 source, 
compiled and used it. With the both the make files, i am getting the 
same error. Could some one how to continue the make?
