I don't understand why you are posting this to the aarch64-port-dev list
nor why the bug is marked with CPU AArch64. This does not seem to relate
to anything intrinsic to AArch64, rather an unfortunate consequence of
how Ubuntu has determined the location of the freetype libraries in its
aarch64 releases.
What you really seem to be asking for is a change to the build system to
accommodate that specific Ubuntu organization. I think this needs to be
addressed by the build system maintainers.
