@magicus now i've done a build without using -fdebug-prefix-map, and the debuginfo obviously contains lots of absolute paths to the "src" cpp/c/hpp/.. files, HOWEVER, if I grep for ".o" file names, I still only get the 3 hotspot assembly objects:
