@shipilev I recall that gcc at least can get confused by what kind of debug information it's supposed to create if the flags aren't specified in exactly that order (The joy of being aware of super obscure gcc bugs that can't simply be googled), but yeah you're right it's probably unnecessary. I'll remove it in the morning tomorrow since everyone agrees on this.
