Thanks Roman, we will need a lot of help. Currently I am going through
Caciocavallo's code and trying to get a bigger picture (not there yet :P).
To develop a new Redirected filesystem I gather that, we will need to
reimplement the java.io's File, Writer abstract class as well as reader
abstract class and probably more. I am thinking of using HTML5's File API
for reading files and HTML5's FileSystem API for writing down files to the
client system, however the writing happens to a virtual sandboxed file
system, so wouldn't have the flexibility of actually writing things down
unless we use ActiveX, Java Applets etc... Tell me what you think about it.
Also is you do have the time to do so, please tell me the relevant sections
of OpenJDK that will need to be altered, hard to find tutorials on such a
subject. Any links or pointers are welcome. Thank you so much Roman.
