Just wanted to mention that an FFI or DL like layer for  
programmatically loading and calling C libraries has been on my short  
list of "must have" features for a long time. We're shipping JNA with  
JRuby and both Java and Ruby users alike have been astounded by the  
power and potential of such a library. This needs to happen.
