FWIW, I read this and was also a little concerned. However,
the deadline for signing this was not really enough to spend time
going over the finer details. I don't remember but I probably used
my uni address for this reason. It does seem to have taken a while for it
to be mentioned here.
I agree it would be nice to see this made clearer in future competitions.
