No, the problem with the initial fix was it advertised itself a macOS fix, but added public API, and didn't do anything about the dialog. I suggested the order in which things should be done, but that didn't require them to be in separate fixes. In fact I much prefer it all in one fix and at least the first 3 really had to be ..
