I wonder if this system reproduces other bugs where expected events aren't received… such as `java/awt/event/KeyEvent/FunctionKeyTest.java` ([JDK-8343104](https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8343104)) and `java/awt/List/ItemEventTest/ItemEventTest.java` ([JDK-8204221](https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8204221)).
