It would be more correct to say I don't see how to do it.  But if Maurizio
would (please) assert that he is confident it would be practical (and
compatible), I'd be satisfied.  If he doesn't have that confidence, then I'd
prefer we settle the issue before committing the simple approach to JDK7.
