I found the escape analysis results you reported about using a lock 
wrapper with try-with-resources very interesting, even if using 
try-with-resources with a lock is outside the recommended usage. 

More empirical results from using the Coin features, their performance, 
ease of retrofitting, etc., would be welcome from Crete or elsewhere :-)
