Here are two webrevs (in order that can be merged with the other): the class file version changes; and the build changes related to that.

Testing of all three patches (jdk-tier1,jdk-tier2,jdk-tier3,hs-tier1,hs-tier2,hs-tier3,hs-tier4,hs-tier5) produced no related test failures.
