Thanks, I think that is a good idea, that would be helpful for debugging and also for improving test coverage for the sort of lambda deserialization issues that inspired this PR (JDK-8374654, JDK-8208752).

I added an `-XD` flag, and updated one of the lambda deserialization tests to use it.
