Proposal: Ergonomics Profiles

Hi all,

Following Erik's proposal on ZGC Automatic Heap Sizing [1], I'd like to ask for comments and feedback on a similar proposal that we have been considering for a while: Ergonomics Profiles.

I am particularly excited to see investments in making Hotspot better for dedicated environments (such as containers), and I believe there is an opportunity to combine many of these ideas. Thus, would appreciate your feedback.

PS: I am sharing this proposal this way because I do not have OpenJDK Author role. Apologies if this is not the ideal way. Happy to learn more.
