Bug reports that are submitted to bugs.sun.com are initially treated as 
"incidents" where they are filtered before moving to an appropriate 
product in the (Oracle internal) bug database. The reason for this is 
that there are hundreds of bug reports submitted each week, many of 
which are submitted by end-users that neglect to include anything 
useful. For some areas (it's on a per-category basis I think) then these 
incidents go immediately into the bug database and so should be visible 
on bugs.sun.com. I'm not sure about the Swing category (which this one 
seems to have been submitted against), they may not be visible on 
bugs.sun.com until they make it to their final destination. In any case, 
this one looks to be have closed by the initial triage because it's not 
a supported platform.

As regards this issue then I would suggest starting a new thread on 
awt-dev to stoke up ideas for how sun.awt.OSInfo could be refactored to 
better accommodate other platforms.
