Looks good.   It's unfortunate that there is no test catching this basic 
functionality (such kind of tests should exist when j.u.logging was 
added).  You have added many tests to improve the coverage for 
j.u.logging.  Do you think there is a SQE logging test catching this?   
We will find out.
