Unfortunately the logs for the failures have been lost - but IIRC the issue was that the list of expected loggers did not match the list of returned loggers. At the time the initial loggers were not printed - so I had a suspicion that the issue might have laid there. In any case, I believe the change I am proposing is a good change: the `parent` field should only be read once. The additional logging in the test may help if the test fails again, so I would like to push this change, even if the issue was effectively elsewhere.
