My 2 (euro) cent, which you can ignore. Try to be consistent with the prevailing style of javadoc in this class. Use `{@code}` and other formatting only where other methods do. There's no need to use code font for numbers. Similarly, while I also like symbolic and mathematical notation, it doesn't fit this class to use `[a, b)` to denote a half-open range or interval.
