CRac example usage

Hi all,
I'm trying to run the spring-boot example from the github repo.
I tried with the JDK 17 build, but it did not work due to the "java.base
does not 'opens java.lang'" issue.
Then I tried with the JDK 14 build, but this time I have the
"jdk.crac.impl.CheckpointOpenFileException: /var/lib/sss/mc/passwd"
exception.
I also tried with the workaround explained here (
https://mail.openjdk.org/pipermail/crac-dev/2022-January/000079.html) but
it did not work on my machine (RHEL 8.6).
Do you have any suggestions on how to proceed ?
