I tried to post the following to your blog, but apparently it didn't get
through. Here is some historical info on the old pre-2003 and early
VMClass interface discussions in GNU Classpath:
        
        One of the earlier discussions/documentation on changing the GNU
        Classpath VM layers was in 2003 during the GNU Classpath
        Workshop at the LinuxCongress 2003:

        wanted to switch to the VMClass design:
