Alan,

I (personally) am committing to support this project. Unfortunately there is no plan to evolve the interface to support new kind of devices. Mainly because there is no new device in Linux kernel API.  So my role (as I see) would be bug fixing (if any) and tracking Linux kernel API changes that affects DIO, 

If this is not enough to keep the project online, then it should be disbanded
