Hi Geir.

I think you know the answer to that question.

The JCP defines the Java SE Platform with a specification, a TCK,
and a reference implementation (RI).

The JDK is an implementation of that specification, and is meant
to pass the TCK and serve as the RI.

There is not yet a Platform JSR for Java SE 7, so in the meantime
the work done in this Project may be considered a first draft of
some features and enhancements that will be proposed for inclusion
in that JSR.
