I'd like to point you to a post by Henrik Ståhl, Senior Director of product management for the Java Platform Group at Oracle,
at http://blogs.oracle.com/henrik/ on Oracle's plans for OpenJDK. Henrik is responsible for product strategy in the Java 
Platform Group, and is an official spokesperson for Oracle on Java SE. 

To quote from the post, "Oracle will work with the OpenJDK code base and the OpenJDK community like Sun did. We will continue 
to develop the JDK in the open under a GPL license. We welcome the cooperation and contribution of any member of the community
