You are mixing up concerns here.

I'm talking about the workflow for users opening bugs, you are talking
about those actually contributing/committing daily/regularly.

When I open a bug against linux kernel I'm not sent to one bug system,
which then creates a new bug for me in a second system without letting 
me know how to get there + making it impossible to comment on that.

I'm not asking for one mailing list for all. I'm suggesting you don't
cut of users that is so kind to take time to open a bug to help improve
the project and product.

I suggested that to be the issues reported via the website is possible to comment/follow
without having to go through the ordeal that is required now.

None of the mails, jiras etc. explains this - only found out by asking around
at random.
