Assuming the OpenJDK Git repository is first self hosted, a later move
to GitHub could be done without disrupting the infrastructure. Both
repositories could be kept in sync. That's how the Apache Software
Foundation operates with GitHub: the repositories are self hosted *and*
mirrored to GitHub, and commits are accepted on both ends.
