Does the OpenJDK community offer support for the same duration as Oracle’s public support for OpenJDK 11? Additionally, is there any possibility that the OpenJDK community might offer support beyond the Oracle support period, potentially for a longer duration?
There's a possibility, and I suspect that as long as any vendor continues
to offer paid support they will continue to push patches to OpenJDK.
But there is no guarantee of of this. Vendors don't have to do so.
In addition, the OpenJDK community cannot commit to anything.
Finally, JDK 11 is old. It's time for users to start moving to a more
recent release.
