V8 is a bit special in that it regularly has vulnerabilities reported
against it that receive special attention from regulators, and that are
not fully publicly documented. This means the only way to fix them is
to rebase to a newer source drop because given publicly available
information, is not possible to isolate the patches that need to be
backported to address the issue. If V8 becomes part of the OpenJDK
sources, this could pose challenges for vulnerability management.
