It includes not seeing the task updates in the text box and also not seeing the
final "Done!" message in the textbox.

/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-icedtea-1.7.0.0.x86_64/bin/javac

A strange thing I observed is the program worked as expected a few times. There
was no deterministic order of things which caused the program to work those
times. The rest of times it just hung in an indefinite state forever.
