For IcedTea, the OpenJDK/GNU Classpath hibrid shipped by GNU/Linux
distros we did already convert gcjwebplugin to work with openjdk.
http://fitzsim.org/blog/?p=21 That works pretty nicely. It was
integrated into IcedTea 1.3

And now actually ships with Fedora RawHide and in other distros

The main thing missing is liveconnect/javascript interaction. I thought
Tom had a plan for that involving Rhino (the javascript implementation
written in java), but I don't really remember the details (and I am
hoping Tom will correct me if I am wrong).
For now there is one open bug report against it involving percentage
height/width params:

It needs lots more testing of course.
Cheers,
Mark
