That would be very appreciated! Lillian already backported the original
no-window-borders-on-x86_64 fix to icedtea6. Joe said that there were
already a couple of backported fixes, which might include this one:

There is also at least one Fix that should be forward ported to
icedtea[7]: http://icedtea.classpath.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=67
I haven't extracted it yet. But I can confirm that lots of applications
(including NetBeans) work much better without occasional dialog lockups.

It would be very valuable to go over the 'closed' icedtea bug reports to
see if they are all still properly resolved:
