Yes, it is all free software and we have been in contact with the main
author in the past and FSF legal has already looked at the code. We
could handle this as we do the other 'external' code in GNU Classpath.
But we first have to figure out who 'upstream' really is in this case.
All GNU Classpath code in 'external' has a explicit upstream to which
patches should be submitted if we change anything in the classpath copy.
We could decide IcedTea is the canonical upstream if they offer the netx
parts as a easily importable set of sources.
