no youtube videos?

This doesn't sound like it has anything to do with Java/JRE, etc.
JavaScript != Java. AFAIK, for youtube, you need to install a Flash
plugin, maybe you have one of the free implementations and they don't
work correctly. This is completely outside the scope of OpenJDK, try to
find out which flash you are using and report a bug there.
