This is on Fedora 9 and openjdk:

java version "1.6.0"
OpenJDK  Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b09)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 1.6.0-b09, mixed mode)

The build breaks from the command line and from eclipse (but eclispe does not
crash).

There is a bug entry on Red Hat bugzilla that may be related:

I used this command line:

cd classpath
make uninstall
make distclean
./autogen.sh
./configure --prefix=$(pwd)/install --enable-regen-headers --with-ecj
--enable-Werror
make
