I don't think so, unless I'm reading the Makefile totally wrong. I was
still using an old copy of IcedTea to build a new IcedTea; I just
skipped a very small part of the build (about.jar). My patch to the
Makefile is attached.
Now, of course, I can use my "new" IcedTea to build without the little
hack (and have done so to test).
